LUMIERE 2022

LUMIERE is the first ever literary fest of Ramaiah College of Law! The fest is open to students of all Gokula Education Foundation Institutions.

Lumiere presents to you exciting events, such as, Creative Writing, IPL Mock Auction, Conventional Debate, Product Launch, Turncoat, and Potpourri.

Our fest aims to bring students from the various sister institutions under the same roof; to participate in challenging and fun events that will test their creative abilities and talents in various fields.

• Turncoat - an event that will require you to think on your feet! A speaker will begin speaking ‘for’ a topic, and after receiving a signal, will have to change sides and start speaking ‘against’ the same topic.
• IPL Mock Auction - an enthralling event that will test your skills of strategy, planning and your knowledge of cricket. As the name suggests teams will have to bid against each other for various players, the best team wins!
• Product Launch - an event that will test your creativity, innovation and marketing skills. The teams that are able to best sell their ideas and innovations win!
• Creative writing - the art of making things up. It’s writing done in a way that is not academic or technical but still attracts an audience.
• Conventional debate - Involves two groups: one supporting a resolution (affirmative team) and one opposing the resolution (opposing team). The team who can convince the neutral judge with the best and the most convincing arguments wins the debate
• Potpourri – A thrilling blend of three all-time favourites: Taboo, Dumb Charades and Quiz! This event will test your creativity as well as your ability to think on your feet.
