The APD- RCL Center for Disability Law and Policy (APD- RCL CDLP) at Ramaiah College of Law is an initiative aimed at promoting disability rights and inclusion through education, research, and advocacy. In collaboration with The Association of People with Disability (APD), Bengaluru, the APD- RCL CDLP works to empower persons with disabilities and ensure their full participation in society. The APD- RCL CDLP offers a range of programs and initiatives, including,

  1. Legal education and training: The APD- RCL CDLP provides legal education and training to students, persons with disabilities, their families, and advocates. This includes capacity-building programs (internships, seminars, conferences, bootleg camps, workshops, certificate programs, training programs, & other competitions) related to disability law and policy.
  2. Research and advocacy: The APD- RCL CDLP researches disability law and policy, and advocates for the rights of persons with disabilities. This includes working with government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to promote inclusive policies and practices.
  3. Community outreach: The APD- RCL CDLP engages with the community to raise awareness about disability rights and inclusion. This includes organizing events, workshops, and other activities for persons with disabilities, their families, and the general public.

Through its work with APD, the APD-RCL CDLP aims to connect with a wide network of persons with disabilities and disability organizations. This allows the APD- RCL CDLP to have a real impact on the lives of persons with disabilities and to promote their full and equal participation in society.
